Job Description
Scope of Work:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable contractor to install a decorative stone pathway in the backyard of a residential property located in Lake Worth Beach, Florida. The pathway will be approximately [Insert Linear Feet] feet in length and [Insert Width] feet wide, using natural stone or pavers over a properly prepared and leveled base.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clear and prepare the ground surface, including minor grading if necessary.
• Install compacted base material (gravel/sand) to support stonework.
• Lay and set natural stone or pavers in a stable and visually appealing pattern.
• Ensure proper drainage slope and prevent water pooling along the path.
• Edge the pathway as necessary to maintain structure and separation from landscape areas.
• Clean the site upon completion and remove all construction debris.
Timeline:
All work must be completed within 14 calendar days from project start date unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Bid Submission Deadline:
Bids must be submitted by TBA.
Contractor Requirements
Stone Slab Pathway Installation
Must demonstrate prior experience in stone, masonry, or landscape hardscape installation (submit at least 2 references or photos of previous work).
Must provide:
Proof of active General Liability Insurance.
Proof of Workers’ Compensation Insurance (or filed exemption if self-employed).
Must be registered with Palm Beach County for Handyman/Property Maintenance services (recommended but not legally required for non-structural work).
Must comply with all City of Lake Worth Beach property maintenance codes regarding drainage and grading.
No building permit is required for decorative, non-structural stone pathways under current city regulations.
(Contractor is responsible for confirming no additional permitting is needed based on actual design.
